Lathuile
Lathuile is a village with a population of 738 inhabitants, nested at the foot of the mountain by the lakeshore. It is a quiet rural village. Its many footpaths and roads offer splendid viewpoints over the lake of Annecy, and of the many surrounding mountains: "la Tournette" (2 352 m), the "Crêt des Mouches" (2033 m), "Dents de Lanfon", "Parmelan", "Arcalod"…
During the 19th century, the main activity in Lathuile was farming (milk and dairy products). In the older days a coal mine, now abandoned, used to be under exploited.
